Privacy

reTONE doesn't collect any information about you, personal or otherwise.

By default, reTONE makes no network connections. It connects only if you turn on Network features in Settings, and then only when you ask it to or for checks you've chosen. Even then it sends no information about you, and there are no ads or analytics. As with any network connection, the server you connect to receives your IP address and similar technical information. While “Share this phone’s music” is on, reTONE accepts connections from devices you have allowed.

The remote control exchanges the track list, artwork and playback state over Bluetooth between devices you have paired. Nothing is sent to the internet or to outside servers.

Settings, playlists, playback position and similar data are stored only on the phone, and are deleted when you uninstall the app.

• Internet: used only when Network features is turned on in Settings
• Read storage: to read the music files on the phone
• Change audio settings: for volume and Silent DAP mode
• Bluetooth: to tell which Bluetooth device the sound is going to, and for the phone-to-phone remote control
• Wi-Fi and network state, and changing Wi-Fi: to load music from a NAS or a shared device, to show whether Wi-Fi is connected, and to let you turn off the phone’s Wi-Fi when you turn off Network features
• Multicast: to find NAS devices and shared devices on the same network
• Prevent sleep: to keep loading music from a NAS without interruption
• Running apps, bringing reTONE to the front, and the notification panel: for controls when reTONE is your home screen

When you use a USB DAC, Android asks whether to allow access to it.
